You'll need something faster than a dialup connection, for eTherapy. As long as you're not connecting through a 56K modem, you should have a fast enough connection. If you're having problems figuring out what kind of internet connection you do have, here's how to find out:

Windows Users

  1. In the Start menu, click on the Control Panel:
    Start menu - Control Panel

  2. In the control panel, double click on Network Connections:
    Control Panel - Network Connections

  3. Your network connection will be described in the Network Connections window. For example, this computer is connected through a Local Area Connection. Most LANs have a sufficiently fast connection to the internet network for an eTherapy session:

Mac Users

  1. In the dock, click on the System Preferences icon:

  2. When the System Preferences window opens, click on the Network icon.
    System Preferences - Network

  3. Your network connection type will be shown in the resulting window. This computer, for example, is connected through an ethernet card, i.e. through a local area network, much like the last computer.
